How does our hosted VoIP phone system work?
Our business VoIP phone system allows you to make telephone calls using your existing broadband connection. When you make a call, your IP phone connected to the LAN converts the voice into a digital packets (using the SIP protocol) for transmission over the internet. This call is fully controlled by our Hosted VoIP platform and is securely transferred over the internet. If you make a call to another IP phone, the opposite process occurs at the other end. As the calls between these IP phones stays within our managed internet network, all these calls for example between your offices are completely free.
If you make a call to a mobile or landline, our hosted VoIP phone system sends the call to the SIP provider where is decoded and sent over the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to the called subscriber.
